Hey Everyone, I'm new to this forum because I am seeking some advice. On our homepage we have a flash based map (storageunitauctionlist.com) I am curious to see if for SEO reasons to opt for an HTML map instead. Is there a way to make my flash map more google friendly or am I up a river there? Any help would be appreciated greatly! - Maddison I initially thought you were referring to a sitemap. You could leave the flash version for flash enabled users, but as far as SEO goes at the very least I would link ...

We have just launched our first web app -- iMapOnline: an online map making application which can create interactive country map, world map, or custom interactive image maps. Different from Windows software, web app might work differently for different users depending on OS and browser settings. Therefore we would be very appreciated if you check out this new web app, and tell us know if you think the interface is easy to understand, and the web app can launch quickly and work smoothly in your browser? ...

Looking to take my own Satnav in April when we go across to California for 2 weeks. At the moment I have a TomTom unit but am not willing to pay the map price for a one off trip. So looking at other GPS options I'm thinking that copilot is probably the best? CoPilot Live v8, North America Maps £20 I assume that's all I will need? Definitely want to use maps stored on the SD card as I guess data connections would cost me an absolute fortune. So just a GPS satellite link which would be free. Has anyone ...

So I'm leaving the US for an "around the world" trip. I have MetroPCS with the LG Optimus M. I'm assuming the gps guides and such will still work over there since there GPS right? Are there ways to make calls with my phone if I'm in a wifi area? For GPS to work, you either need data enabled (not a good idea unless you have a unlocked phone with a SIM card - not sure if the LG Optimus M does or not), or maps downloaded on your phone. Co-pilot is a maps app that downloads maps onto your phone, so you can use ...

Is it possible to use Google Maps in offline mode (after downloading the map areas needed) to get driving directions and/or use Navigation? My own tests (Samsung Galaxy S3) and current research indication no, but I haven't found any really current threads discussing it. When I tested it every thing seemed ok until it tried to actually get the driving directions and it would just sit there "getting driving directions" indefinitely. If it doesn't work, what are some worthy alternatives? Navfree has come up a ...

Anybody know of an online service (RPC, HTTP, anything free and instantaneous) that gives you the latitude and longitude given a particular city and state (US)? http://www.zipinfo.com/search/zipcode.htm Hideous, but it works (remember to check the "latitude and longitude" box.) http://www.arrl.org/locate/locate.html A lot easier on the eyes and you don't have to click a checkbox. Sure is clumsy but will look into it. The USGS apparently has a massive list that you can even download. Search for "Geographic ...

Hi guys, I am currently looking for the best option for Navigation in North America. (I'm from the UK) I go to the US yearly on holiday, usually. But my parents also go to the US probably 2 or 3 times a year for their holidays. We both have Android devices (They have a Xoom, I currently have S3 & Note 10.1) and are currently looking at the best option for us to use our devices as a Sat Nav. Now we have a few options, which are; -Buy a Stand alone sat nav & share it between us. Either buy it from the UK & ...

Do i need my wifi on to use my sat nav on my phone . If so what is the point as you won't always have a wifi signal .. . Your Sat Nav should use your data connection to operate. Google Maps does a great job with navigation, but does require a data connection to work. You can pre-download some map tiles and establish a route prior to disconnecting from WiFi, but once you disconnect you are stuck to what you have downloaded unless you use data. An alternative to this is an app like CoPilot (and there are ...
