I'm looking for a GPS app that tracks my movements but does not use the internet to update my movements on a map. I'm looking for something that just maps the movements by placing dots on a blank screen that I can view while I am moving. When I am done logging, it should be able to upload the logging file to my pc so I can load into Google Earth. I want this type of app so it uses very little battery and does not hit the internet. I use to have a Blackberry Storm and they have an app called GPSlogger that ...

Howdy gang - Is there any known issues with JB and sky-map apps? I don't actually use the SKY MAP app, but I use SkiSafari and SkEye. Since the JB update, they don't follow the phones movements to track the sky, instead they both just randomly float around... Help? Google SkyMaps still works in JB - used it earlier this week. Similar issue here. Sky Map worked great on ICS. On JB no matter what ROM I use it does not work. I have not tried it using stock JB. Google Sky Maps has never worked on my GNex ...

I am designing an app and have a quick question. There are apps out there that track movements of people and vehicles. Do these apps rely on maps of roads and trails to determine the location, or are the GPS locations precise enough to put the user at that exact location. Here is a scenerio similar to what I want to do. Let's say I have a bunch of kids playing a game of tag in a city park (roughly a city block in size). Each one has a phone in their pockets. I want to gather data from each child on their ...

Hi ! I'm new using route-me and I have a question. I hope someone can help me. I want to animate the translation of a markers on x and y axes in the same time. I found CABasicAnimation which can do that, but it does that with just the screen coordinates and not with the map coordinates. So during the movement, when you move the view, the marker follow this one and does not stay at his correct place because the translation is based on screen coordinates. So my opinion is that CAAnimation is not the good way ...

Seems that this weekend is so bad for our sites. Suddenly, all of our sites fall out of #50 in sERP though they were #1,#2 for some keywords. Hope it's temp. I'm not seeing any movement for my keywords on google, all are still high on the first page Im still seeing movement in all my keywords. up and down. some went just yesterday from the 10 - 20 result page to 50 - 60 page. and ive done nothing to change anything. so either google just hates me or the results are still moving around quite a bit. comments ...

I've tried a number of things and to post code at this point would likely be confusing, so let me start with the concept. I need to somehow combine the operations of long press and touch drag into a single operation, something like LongPressThenDragGestureRecognizer. I'm trying to accomplish this on an MKMapView, so I can't just disable user interaction the entire time, because I want the pan and zoom functionality of the map. To complicate things a bit, the initial item (an MKOverlay object) that the user ...

I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction with my collision detection. I have done collision detection before when dealing with a projectile and I just looped through the possible targets and checked for a collision. But now what I need to know is how to create a map. say with walls or obstacles. how do I determine the playable areas of the map say if I'm moving a character around. I ned to know if there is a wall there to block the characters movement but a A loop would be too inefficient ...

Since I got several hits for football... Back breaker football game is on market and it is awesome! I've only played the rookie level for about 5mins, but the graphics and play/movements just blow me away. Already worth the $2.99 for game. This Backbreaker and google Sky map , IMO, really show off the phones ability. Nice, I still wait for the day someone is putting a NFL headcoach game out for android I got this game, and it is worth it! Got to the pro level, so far. Quote: Originally Posted by waynester ...

Hello, Do anyone now about any site with beginner tutorials about the Cocos2D Framework??:) Have you tried the cocos2d Google home site: cocos2d-iphone - Google Code ? There is a link to a YouTube video showing things that can be done with the framework. If you have actually downloaded cocos2d, there are a ton of examples that come with the framework demonstrating the use of all the objects. kwigbo wrote: » Here is a sample project of a tile based game with map movement and wall collision ...
